Dr Tai is a Paediatric Respiratory and Sleep Physician, Head of Department at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Adelaide and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Adelaide. He completed his advance training at the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne and PhD in 2011 following the famous Melbourne childhood asthma cohort to the age of 50 years and was awarded the best Paediatric abstract at the American Thoracic Society conference. Dr Tai is a current board director with the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ) and has served as conference chair for the TSANZ and Asthma Australia conferences. He is also a member of the Paediatric working group contributing to the Australian Asthma Handbook. Dr Tai has an interest in early origins of asthma and longitudinal outcome of childhood asthma, cystic fibrosis research and paediatric respiratory clinical trials. Dr Tai publishes in high impact journals in respiratory medicine such as Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine and Thorax.
