Professional Bio
Dr Litton is an Intensive Care Specialist at Fiona Stanley Hospital, Perth, Western Australia and current NHMRC Early Career Fellowship recipient. He is a member of the management committee of the ANZICS CORE – one of the worlds largest registries of ICU patients. He has >100 publications including in the New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, BMJ and lancet and is in receipt of >$8M in competitive research funding with interests in anaemia, recovery after ICU, sepsis, the microbiome, mechanical ventilation, cardiac surgery and novel trial designs. He is a Board Member of the Intensive Care Foundation of ANZ, a member of the Australian Clinical Trials Alliance reference group on embedding, and a member of the COVID National Living Guidelines critical illness Clinical Evidence Taskforce. He is the father to three young boys and a triathlete whose ambitions far exceed capabilities.
